Statement of Faith

" And So were the Churches established in the Faith, and increased in number daily" Acts 16:5

1. We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be the verbally and plenary inspired Word Of God.

2. We believe that the Scriptures interpreted in their natural, literal sense reveal divine dispensations of life which define man's responsibilities. These dispensations are divinely ordered stewardships by which God directs man according to His purpose.

3. We believe in one Triune God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

4. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary.

5. We believe that the Holy Spirit is the supernatural divine agent of God our heavenly Father and Jesus our Savior and Lord. He is the third person of the trinity, who exercises the power of the Father and the Son in creation and redemption. The Holy Spirit is the power by which believers come to Christ and see with new eyes of faith, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ.

6. We believe that salvation is the gift of God given unto man by Grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

7. We believe that all who are saved and redeemed are kept by God's power and therefore secure in Jesus Christ forever.

8. We believe that the church, which is the body and espoused bride of Christ is solely made up of Born-Again people.

9. We believe that all the saved people should live in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon their Lord and Savior.

10. We believe in the bodily resurrection of all mankind; the saved to Eternal Life and the unsaved to Judgment and Everlasting punishment.

We believe that this Statement of Faith accurately represents the Spirit filled teachings of the Holy Scriptures of the Bible. The Holy Bible, which is the Word of God, is the only source of all that the members of Saint Mark's Christian Assembly of Christ believe. AMEN
